About the Teacher
Welcome to room 304’s page!!
I’m Miss Lococo and I am thrilled to begin the 2018-2019 school year! This will be my third year teaching third grade at Graham, but my fifth year teaching overall. Prior to teaching third grade, I taught first and second grade. I completed my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education at Northern Illinois University in 2013. I also completed my Master’s in Education, with specializations in English as a Second Language and Special Education, at National Louis University in 2016.
Teaching has always been my passion—as I love learning about new things and sharing them with others! I am excited to share my enthusiasm for learning with each of my students this school year. One of my favorite aspects of teaching is when students become so excited to learn, they begin to take the initiative to learn on their own and share about new ideas they have learned with the class and myself.
This year in third grade, you can expect your child to learn about some of the following topics:
Math: place value, representing and interpreting data, multiplication/division, measurement, area/perimeter, fractions, etc.
Reading & Writing: figurative language, context clues, main idea/details, comparing and contrasting, engaging in the writing process, and so much more!
Please do not hesitate to ask! I am here to help in any way. Feel free to contact me about any questions or concerns via email or on Class Dojo. My classroom door is also always open. If you would like to meet to discuss anything, I am willing to set up an appointment to meet with you.
